Today is the Ides of March - 3/15 - the famous day that Caesar fell in 44 B.C.The Romans called the 15th day of March, May, July and October the "Ides"
Ides of the other months fell on the 13th.
The Ides of March was dedicated to Mars with festivals and parades.
